Gasoline is almost $4.00 again in my area. That’s about what it was 4 years ago when then economy tanked. I remember hearing former U.S. Senator Larry Craig speaking at the Idaho Ag. Summit early 2009. He made a very compelling argument that the shift in gasoline prices from $3.00/gallon to $4.00/gallon was enough to push many households over the edge. But of course the pressure on the budget gets transferred to other areas, because you have to pay for gas to get to work, etc. Have Americans adjusted their budgets enough this time around that $4.00 gas won’t push more over the edge? I’d like to hope so, but…
